The SLSA job fails during setup because generator v1.4.0 uses retired artifact actions v3. Its digest output also references a different name from the value produced by the hashing step, and the build only creates placeholder files.
Upgrade the generator to v2.1.0 and build real wheel/source distributions. Reuse that build from the tag release workflow, retain its Nox checks, and publish the exact distributions covered by signed provenance. Attach provenance to the GitHub release. Validate SLSA automatically when either workflow changes, while retaining manual dispatch.
Validation: actionlint passed for both changed workflows; git diff --check passed; uv build with Python 3.13 successfully produced xwhy-0.0.6.tar.gz and xwhy-0.0.6-py3-none-any.whl. GitHub CI is running. A fresh SLSA run will execute on main after merge.
