- Gradle 9 refuses to run on Java 8, so the build job installs 8 and 17, runs Gradle on 17 and runs sdk-java's tests on Java 8 through a toolchain selected with -PtestJavaVersion=8. - Groovy 4 removed groovy.util.XmlParser; the coverage summary uses groovy.xml.XmlParser. - app-java sets its main class through the application extension, since Gradle 9 removed mainClassName.
