Might this application also be of interest to users outside China? If so, would you consider making English the default — for example by following the system locale (LANG / LC_*) and falling back to English outside a Chinese locale? That would let us include it in the catalog so that many more people around the world can discover and enjoy it.

Thanks for the invitation! VeneraNext already supports an English interface and follows the system language on a fresh installation.

• The default language setting is system. The app selects the first supported English/Chinese locale reported by the system and falls back to English if none is supported. An explicit user choice takes priority.
• The AppImage launcher does not override LANG or LC_*.
• English documentation is available in README.en.md.

I verified the published rc.2 x86_64 AppImage, using a fresh user profile for each case in an Ubuntu 22.04 container (network disabled, no language selection made inside the app). Both the home page and Settings appeared in English for:

LANG and LC_ALL	Result
en_US.UTF-8	English
fr_FR.UTF-8	English fallback
C.UTF-8	English fallback

As a control, zh_CN.UTF-8 selects Simplified Chinese (with Noto CJK fonts installed in the test container). All four profiles retained the default language=system setting.

Tested asset: VeneraNext-1.17.0-rc.2+227-x86_64.AppImage
SHA-256: 1c3ca57ef0bbafc87ddceb810e9f076868eedd09e10dcad2535d8df0c5d01bf9 (matches the release asset digest).

The screenshot generated by your successful retest is also already in English (VeneraNext.png in the pr-result artifact). The invitation appears to come from the default repository README being Chinese, which the workflow checks in addition to the screenshot.

Could a maintainer please review the English interface evidence for catalog inclusion? Thank you!
