On npm 12.0.2, npm ci in the release tarball fails with "can only install with an existing package-lock.json" (loadVirtual requires existing package-lock.json file) even though the tarball ships a valid npm-shrinkwrap.json. Both installers now copy the shrinkwrap to package-lock.json before npm ci; older npm versions are unaffected.

Verification: bash -n install.sh; the PR's release workflow installs the packed release through install.sh. The Windows path needs a manual irm .../install.ps1 | iex on npm 12 after merge.
