Summary

This PR changes board files only. It contains no code.

1. /coresearch exploration map (entries/2026-11-02-coresearch-xlog-souffle-crepe-dr3-archaeology.md)

The map traces where XLOG / Soufflé / Crepe analyses stop on their way to the DR³/DT64 execution substrate. It ratifies nothing and adopts nothing.

  • Sources, read first-hand:
    • upstream BrainyBlaze/xlog bff6da6;
    • the AdaWorldAPI xlog fork 84da1a8;
    • the crepe fork crepe_plan! branch d9f2a11;
    • lance-graph main;
    • graded papers, including arXiv 2602.16707 (Tamagoyaki).
  • A second reader re-read 19 load-bearing citations; all 19 hold as stated.
  • Process: five scouts, a crosswalk, three co-architects, and premise gates.

Headline: neither premise holds. Nothing was "lost in a transcode", because lance-graph never took XLOG's compiler as a production dependency (a ruling). But XLOG drops its richest compile results upstream, before any consumer could read them:

  • the Magic Sets report is discarded;
  • edge polarity is lost;
  • join estimates are baked into the plan shape;
  • Fixpoint is never constructed;
  • semi-naive evaluation exists only in the CUDA runtime.

On our side, semi-naive recursion is re-implemented four or more times and there are two P0 traps. Decisions D1–D7 are listed for the operator, with 17 pre-registered probes.

2. Extension: Persistent Relational Grammar — XLOG × Egglog × DialEgg × Tamagoyaki (same entry)

Added at the operator's request.

  • Three bounded supplementary scouts and three co-architects worked from the extended crosswalk only.
  • 10 extension citations were re-read; all 10 were found.

It contains:

  • a crosswalk of 12 mechanisms;
  • the connections the first map missed;
  • compiler-lifetime vs durable persistence;
  • the smallest integration probe;
  • semantic refusals and ownership risks;
  • verdicts.

Headlines:

  • Equality. The workspace has no union-find, rebuild, e-matching or extraction of its own; egglog is reached only offline, through program text. egglog unions cannot be undone (stage_remove panics). Tamagoyaki persists equivalences across lowering passes, but only within one compilation flow.

  • DR³. It is in-memory only. Its version counter is separate from RouteVersion. Nothing records why two things are equal.

  • R2IL. "OGAR owns executable method bodies" is not true in code. The R2IL seam never consults Population, so a set-only rewrite can reach a Bag binding unchecked.

  • Overlooked. contract::set_rules already carries the semantic-refusal vocabulary (Impure / Checked / Ieee / NotTwoValued / Bag), and position-identity aliases already answer cross-dialect equality.

  • Premise gate. It split the open decision:

    • "e-graph as a versioned DR³ relation" fails every signature test against the code;
    • the original alternative bundled three objects under "canonical fact";
    • "body_rev" dissolves under DT64's immutability rule (D5).

    The questions are re-asked as D8a/D8b/D9/D10/D11a/D11b.

  • Smallest probe. A test-only xlog-relcomp-probe/tests/congruence.rs asks one question: can XLOG's relational path reproduce egglog congruence as canonical facts before and after one retraction? It does not pick an option. Expected outcome, recorded in advance: the admission gate may refuse the non-linear rule before semantics are compared.

The deferred /5plus3 addendum is recorded in the entry as NOT RELEASED.

3. #1929 recorded as a plateau.

  • The unchanged refresh meets its gate: 2.58 µs.
  • The changed-crate intake does not: 2.5 ms against a 1 ms gate.
  • Step B3, replacing the interner, is open.

Test Plan

  • Entries index current.
  • No new citation decay.
  • Append-only gate OK (11 files checked).

Not to be merged automatically.

…egration archaeology

Five scouts, a crosswalk, three co-architects and two premise gates over
upstream BrainyBlaze/xlog, the AdaWorldAPI xlog and crepe forks and
lance-graph. Ratifies nothing; seven operator decisions and seventeen
pre-registered probes.

…Egglog × DialEgg × Tamagoyaki)

Adds the extension section to the 2026-11-02 coresearch entry:
- crosswalk of 12 mechanisms in the operator's row format;
- connections the earlier map missed;
- compiler-lifetime vs durable DR³ persistence;
- the smallest integration probe (congruence, test-only);
- semantic refusals and ownership risks;
- ADOPT-NOW / PROBE / PARK / SKIP verdicts.

Nothing is adopted. The premise gate split decision D8 and re-asked D8–D11. The /5plus3 addendum is recorded as NOT RELEASED.

…uff/Charon × MLIR/DialEgg × XLOG/Soufflé); #1930 post-merge record

The map traces what each source's existing analyzers already know, where that semantic information is lost before its owner, and how it could serve as typed grammar relations, ambiguity-resolution heuristics and controlled opaque boundaries in DT64/F###.

- 48 crosswalk rows, each with a knowledge-kind column (code fact vs justified transformation vs relational derivation vs reading).
- A 4-bucket recovery matrix.
- Negative controls N1–N8 graded against the current code.
- Pre-registered falsifiers.

Nothing is adopted; /5plus3 stays deferred.
