Scrolling with mouse wheel does not work

On any scrollable frame of the window (commit list, local changes, staged changes, etc.), scrolling with mouse wheel does nothing. In my case, I'm using a laptop with a touchpad, and the mouse wheel events are produced with a two-finger up/down gesture. Mouse wheel scrolling works in all other applications (both Qt and GTK).

Scrolling by dragging the slider on the right with mouse works.

Kubuntu 24.04, KDE, X11 session.
SourceGit 2026.19, installed from .deb package. I tried AppImage, it has the same problem.

Didn't notice that neither in 2026.18 or 2026.19 on Ubuntu 24.04.4 with X11 and mouse. Installed from repositories:

As I said, mouse wheel/touchpad scrolling works everywhere but SourceGit. If there's an issue with my environment, it must be specific to SourceGit. Can you suggest what that issue might be?

I don't know... What the last working version? Did you try to use mouse instead of touchpad? Maybe related to some system updates? Is it possible to check some other .NET applications (don't know what to suggest, although)?

I never used SourceGit before, so for me it never worked.

I don't have a mouse right now. I can try on a different system with a mouse in a few days.

Even if it works on the other system, this won't work as a solution for me. I need the app to work with a touchpad. And I haven't seen a case where a touchpad vs. a mouse made a difference before.

I do not have a Linux laptop. Hope someone can help debugging this project.

• Run this project in DEBUG mode
• Press F12 when the main window got focused
• Goto Events page and make sure PointerPressed, PointerReleased, and PointerWheelChanged are checked in InputElement
• Scroll with touchpad and check if PointerWheelChanged is triggered as expected

I tried this and PointerWheelChanged is not registered. I enabled all options under InputElement and still no reaction to touchpad scrolling. BTW, touchpad scrolling also doesn't work in Avalonia DevTools.

PS: I compiled SourceGit using dotnet-sdk-10.

Consistent with my guess: if it is not the XButton1/XButton2 quick‑switch page feature added in v2026.19, then it can only be an issue with AvaloniaUI itself.
