You typically seek approval to act on a FinOps recommendation via Slack/Teams/Email. But once approved, for the actual implementation of the remediation, you have different options:
- direct cloud modifications via CLI/API
- Pull request with IaC changes
- Execution of an AWS runbook
The last two IMOs are another form of HITL because you are asking an engineer to provide manual approval (approve PR merge / execute the runbook with user credentials). Maybe my reasoning is a bit of a stretch, if you feel this should go into another page (e.g. "Remediation options") that could also make sense, feel free to propose and split the ticket in case.
