SERPAPI seems expensive. Can you change the code so it supports cheaper alternatives? e.g. serper.dev seems much cheaper.

If you want Google results but don't want to depend on Google Custom Search directly, SerpBase may be worth a look.

It provides Google search results through a simple API and returns structured JSON, so integration is usually easier than wiring up Custom Search + CSE config. It also supports geo/language targeting, which is useful for job search flows.
