Allow multiple instances to run at the same time

Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

The problem is that previously it was possible to close modrinth after opening an instance, then opening modrinth again and I guess something gets reset and lets you open the exact same instance again meaning you can have multiple running at the same time.
After some sort of patch this is no longer possible saying that "it's not possible" which is fucking stupid if it has worked before.
A feature llike this would be very useful to save time letting you runs for example 2 accounts at the same time on 1 server.
Obviously there are ways to bypass that and that is just creating a new instance, which you know wastes space. So what's the point of doing that if it was a feature in the first place.

As an addition to this, I've noticed this change too.
It was a very useful feature (or bug if you'd call it that) to have before. Especially with multiple accounts. Yes, it should be obvious to users that opening multiple instances could cause corruption in worlds etc. So I'd opt for putting it behind a toggle/setting per instance.

As nv-dev-999 mentions, it can take up a lot of space. Espcially when you have a few larger single player world youd like to visit and also keep all your settings equal between two instances.
