How can I get a chaincode_id?

Hello, I want to use python to write chaincode, so I found this project, I meet a problem in the process of using, I don't know how to get the chaincode_id.

export CHAINCODE_ID=basic_1.0:f3e2ca5115bba71aa2fd16e35722b420cb29c42594f0fdd6814daedbc2130b80

I tried the peer package command,

peer lifecycle chaincode package basic.tar.gz --path ../asset-transfer-basic/chaincode-python/ --lang python --label basic_1.0

or

peer lifecycle chaincode package basic.tar.gz --path ../asset-transfer-basic/chaincode-python/  --label basic_1.0

but they didn't work. Could you give me some guidance? Thanks for your time.

Hi @iEricZHENG

First of all, you should know that this library is not stable yet. You should also know that this library is only for
Chaincode-As-Services (CAS), this new way to start chaincodes appeared from Fabric version 2, it means that if you use a version prior to 2 (for example 1.4) you will not be able to use this library .

Now, if your version is >= 2 you can try to build a network using chaincode as services, and for that you can follow the following documentation:

You can pull again, because it updated the main branch

If after following the steps in the fabric-testnet-nano-without-syschannel repository and the fabric-chaincode-python library README.md you still have a problem, feel free to write.

But you can use the chaincode_id of a previously installed chaincode, it doesn't matter if it's golang, java or node.js. If it is already installed previously once you run the command:

peer lifecycle chaincode query installed

You should get the chaincode_id and you can use it for python chaincode, just follow the README.md instructions:
