@jsoref Yeah, I see your point. This is part of an old docs set, so no on will care too much what's done to it. I'm going to put a help wanted label on to see if someone wants to pick it up before I have time to get to it, since I'm going to have to find out more about cross-referencing, and someone else might already have that knowledge.

To clarify for anyone who might want to pick it up: this Community conversations section links to Creating an issue as a source for more information about cross-referencing discussions in an issue, but there's no information on that in the article.

I opened a small docs-only draft PR to address this by explicitly noting that Create issue from discussion creates a cross-reference between the discussion and the issue: #43140. Happy to adjust or close if you want this phrased differently.

Which isn't close to where you've changed things or added content.

I'm actually looking for something that explains how to make links in conversations, not how to make links in a discussion by killing an issue -- which is what happens if you take the path you've documented.
