Is Etesync still maintained in 2025?

Hi,

I am considering switching to Etesync and donate or get a subscription. However latest commit is from 8 months ago and most recent tag from June 2024, for the Android App longer ago, so I would like to ask if Etesync is still maintained in the sense that it still gets security updates and at least the most sever bugs fixed, both on client and server side?

@PhysicsIsAwesome To be completely honest I would not touch code thats this old and lacks proper (security) patches.

For reference Debian 13 has been released on 09/08/25 and is shipped by default with Python 3.13 leading to the install issue mentioned in #178#issuecomment-2509806432.

Is there anything we can do to speed up development?
Perhaps a fundraising campaign, if it is a matter of financial resources.

etesync is still the only open source solution that offers E2E encryption for calendars and contacts, so it would be a great loss if the project were not continued.
