When I run npm start -- https://digital.library.villanova.edu/Item/vudl:283833/Manifest to load a multi-part audio manifest, I get an "Unable to load manifest" pop-up error. This manifest loads correctly in other environments, so there seems to be something wrong specific to Electron.
