API and service terms (hosted SWATGenX)

This file clarifies what the MIT License in LICENSE covers versus what is governed by the SWATGenX website.

What the MIT License covers

The MIT License applies only to the example code, notebooks, and documentation in this public repository (the “Software” named in LICENSE). You may copy, modify, and redistribute those materials under MIT’s conditions.

What the website terms govern

Use of:

  • the SWATGenX web application at https://www.swatgenx.com
  • HTTP APIs, API keys, subscriptions, and quotas
  • generated model outputs and download services (including tokenized GET /download_model/... links)
  • account data and authentication

is not fully described by this repository’s MIT terms. It is governed by the SWATGenX Terms of Service and Privacy Policy:

Read and follow those documents when you use the live service. SWATGenX may change API behavior, limits, availability, or legal terms; the versions published on the website control.

What this repository does not grant

Nothing in this repo grants rights to:

  • SWATGenX backend or platform source code
  • National or third-party datasets and materials exposed through the service (those remain subject to their own licenses and terms)
  • Trademarks or branding
  • use of hosted services or commercial outputs beyond what the website terms and your subscription allow

If anything in this repository appears to conflict with the website Terms or Privacy Policy, the website documents prevail for use of the hosted product.
