The SCEC Ground Motion Simulation Validation (GMSV) software Toolkit that provides standardized tools for ground motion simulation validation.
In order to install and run the GMSV Toolkit software, users will need to have the following dependencies installed:
- Python v3.8.18+ with
- Matplotlib 3.7.5+
- NumPy 1.24.4+
- SciPy 1.10.1+
- GNU compilers (gcc, gfortran) 13.3+
- FFTW library 3.3.8
Support for GMSV Toolkit is provided by the Statewide California Earthquake Center (SCEC) Research Computing Group. This group supports several research software distributions including the GMSV Toolkit, the Broadband Platform, and the TS-Process package. Users can report issues and feature requests using GMSV Toolkit's github-based issue tracking link below. Developers will also respond to emails sent to the SCEC software contact listed below.

We welcome contributions to the GMSV Toolkit software package. An overview of the process for contributing software updates to the GMSV Toolkit package is provided in the contribution guidelines. All contributors agree to abide by the code of conduct found in our Code of Conduct guidelines.

The SCEC-developed portions of the GMSV Toolkit software is distributed under the BSD 3-Clause open-source license. Please see the LICENSE.txt file for more information. Individual codes may be offered under their own open-source software licenses.
