I think the Grader does not know how to grade the reading part of an assignment. When you try to regrade a reading assignment, it wants to set their grades back to -, but it doesn't reset it if it is autograded which is good.
This is a problem when there is late work after the deadline and the autograder doesn't grade it, so the Grader needs to be able to give points for the reading.
