This page has a box to type in the course code, but it also lists all the possible open books to select, which means you have to scroll a long ways down to get the Enroll button.
But rising to the level of bug instead of feature request is that it appears that if a student enters a course code and also selects a book, perhaps the book their course is based on (that's not too farfetched a thing for students to attempt to do when they don't understand that an open book is in fact just another course!), they are only enrolled in the open book and not in the course code. At least, that's what happened to at least 1 student 2 weeks ago when the semester started.
But what students see looks like their textbook and just like what everyone else is seeing, so they might not realize that they are in fact in a course and it's not the right one.
This could be fixed by giving priority to the course code entered instead of anything else selected, and/or by hiding the open books behind a drop down or knowl. Maybe make students choose whether they are enrolling in a course from an instructor or not, and then show them either a box to enter the course code or the list of open books.
