T9 keyboard layout

Please add a T9 keyboard layout feature like the one on Nokia keyboards, but make it adjustable in height and width. Because I often make typos using QWERTY and am used to the T9 layout on my old keyboard, which is Smart Keyboard Pro. Thank you.

This can't be done without significant changes to the prediction engine as it is a one to one prediction. I checked it with Gemini to do the compact QW-ER-TY. Google did not design for flexibility.

Not sure what you mean there. It will never be like smart keyboard pro without a major prediction overhaul, as far as I understand it. And it would need a significant layout enhancement for keys that use multiple letters. Google designed it for a 1:1 prediction.

That isn't what T9 does. T9 is predictive based on one key representing multiple letters. This keyboard, AOSP keyboard forks, do not have that type of prediction capability, they are only one letter at a time.

You are asking for a T9 layout.
But that layout is very old.
My suggestion would be to get familiar with the current layouts.

If you absolutely need a T9 layout,
then here are some alternatives for you:

There may be a few more alternatives.
Please contact the developers of those apps and help them with development.

It is not possible to add a T9 layout to this app.
So I think you shouldn't bother the developer,

Multiling O Keyboard is another option.

Highly unlikely that anyone will ever do the work to make T9 possible.
