PolterType's whole audience types in more than one language, and for many of them English isn't the comfortable one. The README should meet them halfway.
Proposal — deliberately not a full-README translation:
- A short
README.<lang>.md (say README.uk.md, README.es.md) covering only the stable parts: what the app does (two paragraphs), the install table, the permissions one-liner per OS, and a link back to the English README for everything else.
- Why short: the full README changes with every release, and a stale translation that overpromises is worse than none. The quick-start subset barely changes, so translations stay honest with near-zero maintenance.
- Language links at the top of the main README (
🇺🇦 Українська · 🇪🇸 Español).
Bundled dictionary languages (EN·UK·RU·DE·ES·FR) are the natural candidates, but any language is welcome — especially paired with the layout-contribution issue #2, so "my language" arrives as data + docs together.
If you translate, please translate meaning over words — and keep the honest caveats (unsigned installers, per-platform differences) exactly as blunt as the English original. That bluntness is deliberate.
