From 6289229adfc275515b09b5083e0e22c4aa3e5fa1 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jarry Shaw Date: Mon, 14 Sep 2026 11:09:13 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] ci: drop the duplicate permissions block from the Conda Update workflow cron-conda.yml declared top-level permissions twice, once at the head of the file and once between the triggers and the jobs, which YAML forbids: a mapping cannot repeat a key. GitHub rejected the file, so every push created a run that failed immediately with "This run likely failed because of a workflow file issue" and no jobs at all -- including pushes to branches the push filter was meant to exclude, since a file that cannot be parsed cannot be filtered either. The two blocks arrived from #327 and #329, which hardened the same workflow independently. Kept one, and tidied the trailing comma in the branch list. --- .github/workflows/cron-conda.yml | 5 +---- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 4 deletions(-) diff --git a/.github/workflows/cron-conda.yml b/.github/workflows/cron-conda.yml index cbaedde597..f7b445c4fe 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/cron-conda.yml +++ b/.github/workflows/cron-conda.yml @@ -7,10 +7,7 @@ on: schedule: - cron: '0 10 * * 6' # everyday at 10am push: - branches: [main, ] - -permissions: - contents: read + branches: [main] jobs: unit-tests:
