Adding a column metadata to Seurat rather than a new assay

Hi Team,

I use escape and it is great that PLAID has been integrated.

Was wondering if escape functionality could add the UCell scores to a Seurat metadata column rather than a new assay. This makes it easier to plot an metadata variable using standard R packages.

Hey Adi,

Thanks for reaching out - initial versions of 'escape' added the calculated enrichment to the meta data. Scaling to large data sets required us to better use the single-cell object data structure. You can still accomplish this by running 'escape.matrix()', the internal wrapper for all enrichment calculations. From the output matrix, you can select or add all of the pathways into the meta data.
